The turbo does not know or care where the air goes that is moving, it just does not want the air to back up. All that is required is releasing the extra flow to prevent surge to keep his set up. It would be interesting to see if the ported covers could handle the flow, if not I have some ideas. In order to keep the power band and spend little extra money and time, I think installing some large BOV's that that are activated by pressure switches that are controlled by a window switch for the RPM area and boost level would solve the issue.
